Pastors Larry & Tami Smoot

Larry was born and raised in Virginia. Due to difficult circumstances he was forced to live on his own at the age of 17. Being influenced by others, he developed a self-seeking, self-satisfying lifestyle.

While living in California due to a job transfer, he met Tami in 1986. She, too, was living the same kind of lifestyle. When he moved back to Virginia, contact between the two ceased for several months. Then in May of 1987, Tami received an unexpected phone call from Larry. Not knowing that God was working on her heart, he proceeded to testify of his recent salvation experience. Excitedly she knew that was what she was searching for also even though she had never attended church while growing up. Larry flew her to Virginia so she could come to his church. She fully intended on getting saved that weekend! The Fourth of July weekend in 1987, Tami gave her heart to Jesus and was baptized in the Holy Spirit. They were later married in September of 1988. Pastors Larry and Tami make their home in Stafford, VA. Together they have 2 sons, Jason and Hunter. Larry has a son Shane and a daughter Bree. Shane serves as a Captain in the US Air Force, is married to Danielle and has 2 sons Cole and Erik. Bree served 4 years in the US Air Force and now works in the Florida School System as Head Security Specialist. Both are very active in their churches.
