Romans 10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
A denominational pastor visited the home of a woman with terminal cancer to pray with her and read the Word to her. As this woman was bedfast, he would also bring her a different cassette tape every day to listen to.
He said, "I really didn't know or understand the leading of the Lord at the time. But something on the inside kept saying, 'So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing,' and it stopped right there [Rom. 10:17]."
That went on over and over inside of him for three days, and on the third day, he finally decided that God was trying to get something across to him. He decided that God was trying to tell him that this woman needed to hear one tape over and over again, instead of him changing the tape each day.
When he asked the Lord which tape he should play over and over, he felt impressed in his spirit to play Kenneth Hagin's tape, "God's Medicine." So he took the tape to her, and told her that he was not going to bring any more tapes because he wanted her to listen to this one tape over and over again.
In the process of time, the woman was completely healed of terminal cancer. As she listened over and over again to the tape, 'God's Medicine,' it built faith in her heart. And she was completely healed.
If you need something from God, invest in a CD by Brother Hagin or someone that speaks on faith and listen to it over and over. Build your faith up, renew your mind. And watch the word come to pass in your life.
Confession: I am a doer of the Word. Faith is built in my heart by hearing and hearing and hearing the Word of God. Therefore, I hear the Word of God and then I act on the Word.
1 John 4:8 "God is love."
"The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost." (Romans 5:5)
When you were born again, God became your Father. God is a love God. You are a love child of a love God. You are born of God, and God is love; therefore, you are born of love. The nature of God is in you--and the nature of God is love.
In fact, you can't say you don't have this divine love, because everyone in the family of God has it, or else they're not in the family! They may not be exercising it. They may be like the man who wrapped his one talent in a napkin and buried it (Matt. 25:25), but the Bible says that the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. That means the God-kind of love has been shed abroad in our heart, our spirit, our inner man.
Romans 5:5 is not talking about the baptism in the Holy Spirit. It's talking about the New Birth. When you were born of the Spirit of God, that's when the love of God came in. When you were born spiritually, you partook of God's life and nature.
Love always honors and respects each other and finds the good in people.
Confession: God is love. I am born of God; therefore, I am born of love. I am a love child of a love God. The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. My nature is love. It is natural for me to walk in love.
Jeremiah 1:12 "I am watching over my word to perform it."
You may be certain that if you accept God's Word and act on it, He is watching over that Word to make it good in your life. All you need to do is to act on the Word. It is very important that you learn this simple little lesson.
Acting on the Word is not struggling. It is not crying. It is not praying. It is simply acting on what God has spoken, and that brings results.
Praying is important, but praying does not bring the answer if we are not acting like the word is so. You can pray and pray but the answer is not coming until the acting comes. There is no such thing as praying through.
The Bible says to pray and then to "say." Say unto this mountain, be thou removed..."
So the right things to do is to pray and then to say, say and say.
His Word is sufficient for you. We may not be acting like His Word is so. In fact, we're acting as if it were not so. We are acting as though you think if you pray long enough and loud enough, you might eventually talk the Lord into the notion of keeping His word.
Once you pray, then you praise and keeping confessing the Word. You can pray, believing you have received.
Confession: I believe God. And I act like I believe Him!
Psalm 27:1 "The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
Romans 9:3 "Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."
The language of faith says:
I can do all things in Christ. The Lord strengthens me. I cannot be conquered. I cannot be defeated. If a natural force comes against me, it can't defeat me, because there aren't enough natural forces in all the world that could conquer the Christ who dwells within me! Greater is He who is in me, than he who is in the world. I am fortified from within. I've learned how to put Christ to work for me and in me. I have, dwelling in me, the Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead! I have God's wisdom, strength, and ability in me. I'm learning how to let that wisdom govern my intellect. I'm letting God speak through my lips. I'm daring to think God's thoughts after Him. He is the strength of my life, whom shall I fear? God has made me greater than my enemies. God has enabled me to put my heel on the neck of weakness, fear, and inability. I stand and declare that whosoever believeth in Him shall not be put to shame. Therefore, I cannot be put to shame.
