Matthew 16:22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Are you truly a follower of Christ? Have you denied yourself for Christ? Do you tithe and give offerings to your local church? If God doesn’t have your money He really does not have your heart.
Do you do what God wants you to do, even when it is inconvenient?
Do you wake up on Sunday morning excited about going to church? Or are you trying to decide whether you are going or not? Are you witnessing and letting people know that you are a Christian even if people make won’t except you?
Is serving the Lord your first thought or your last thought?
Are you attending prayer and Bible studies when you can. Or do you think you have something better to do?
Serve God with all your heart, soul and body. Seek the Lord the Lord early, He needs to be first place in pour lives.
Confession: I put God first in all things in my life. Even when my flesh I don’t feel like it. I serve the Lord because he lived and died for me.
