Romans 3:3-4 "For what if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar."
To establish a firm foundation for your faith, I suggest you adopt the following confession which I've written in my Bible:
The Bible says it.
I believe it.
And that settles it.
Determine to always do these two things:
(1) Accept God's Word for what it says, and
(2) Walk in the light of what the Word says. Don't try to get around certain things or explain them away.
Don't try to read things into the Word just because you want to believe those things that way. Study the Word, and accept it just as it is written.
I declared, "I am going to walk in the light of what the Word says, regardless of church teaching, because the Word is God speaking to me today." When you settle that issue in your mind, sixty percent of the battle was won; you will be on the road to getting your prayers and confessions answered.
Confession: God's Word is true. I believe God. I walk in the light of what the Word says, because the Word of God is God speaking to me today.
