Gal. 3:13 "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, 'Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.'"
Thank God, Jesus set us free from the curse that came with not keeping the law. If anyone failed the law in any point, the law itself pronounced a judgment and wrath upon the lawbreaker.
The Message Bible puts it this way: "Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the Cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse."
Jesus Christ rescued all of us from the edict's curse by becoming or taking on Himself the curse of lawbreaking in our place. The Scriptures say that anyone who is nailed to a tree is under a curse. Jesus went to the cross for us and paid the price and purchased our freedom.
Confession: Christ redeemed me from the curse and penalty of the law by taking it for me.
