1 Peter 3:4 "But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price."
2 Corinthians 4:16 "For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day." Let's allow God to tell us what the heart is. In 1 Peter 3:4, God says that the heart is a man--a hidden man. That is, this hidden man is hidden to the physical senses. You can't see him with your physical eye, nor feel him with your physical hand. That's because he is not a physical being; he is the inward man spoken of in 2 Corinthians 4:16. These two expressions found in Scripture give us God's definition of the human spirit: The inward man and the hidden man of the heart. Let's reflect on Who is in us and not who we are in our minds. I think that most of us live way below our potential. Let's soar like an eagle and not peck around on the ground like a chicken. We need to get out of the environment that is comfortable and get in to one that is a challenge. Let's be the best friend, spouse, doer of the word that we can be. Tell your flesh to be quiet and listen to the Great One on the inside of you. Confession: I believe God from the hidden man of my heart. I believe God from my inward man. I believe God from my spirit.
